Dining and entertainment grows at the Commercial Center
A throwback to the city’s late-night entertainment haunts, The Vegas Room at the Commercial Center has been earning a loyal repeat audience for its intimate live, cabaret-style performances and supper club menus, and is now growing into a new space, built to accommodate larger scale acts and expand its dining options.
Moving a few steps to the north into the 7,000-square-foot La Cueva del Pirata, a former seafood restaurant and bar, The Nevada Room will split the footprint into two ventures, located a short distance from Brasa Roja Las Vegas and across the parking lot from Lotus of Siam.
First to arrive and announcing a possible April debut, the Piano Bar Bistro will feature live background music and serve a casual menu from owner and executive chef David James Robinson. Previewed items from the scratch kitchen include soups and salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and desserts.
Later in the year, The Nevada Room Supper Club Showroom plans to book trios and quartets and stage regularly scheduled jazz and soul brunches. The piano bar will continue to serve late-night food and drinks following shows in both The Vegas and Nevada Rooms.
